Looks great but no pics of the frame which is the biggest worry.

Nice, little too much for the miles though even though they're low. Mine cost about exactly that and it was the same exact truck with 24k on it 3 years ago. I think realistically he should be asking closer to $16k. If it were a double cab he could probably get what he wants

Though I'm not sure what the market for 1st gens is like in AK, just going by how it is here in CA.

Funny that he mentioned the clutch start cancel switch as one of the first 'features' of the truck, lol. That came standard on every manual trans Tacoma.

    Yeah, $18k seems high.

I was messing around with KBB a couple weeks ago and I accidentally put in 30k miles for my 2004 TRD 4x4 doublecab (instead of 130k), and I only got a value of like $15k for mine.

Oddly, he doesn't mention if it has a v6 or a 4cyl, but at least we know it has power steering, a front sway bar, and airbags...

location! i see that could possibly qualify

alaska is much bigger than texas by square miles

    Alaska Is Big!
You could fit Texas into Alaska 2 times! One-fifth the size of the Lower 48, Alaska is bigger than Texas, California, and Montana combined! Alaska is also far-flung: 3.1 times wider (east to west) and 1.9 times taller (north to south) than Texas.

Yeah it's big and all, but how much of that land is actually inhabited?

The US paid $7.2 million for Alaska in 1867, less than two cents an acre, then found oil, what was Russia thinking?

Well yeah. It was more of a comment about how he mentions several inane things like having a swaybar (which is standard on literally ALL tacomas), but forgets to say what motor it has.

Only because he happened to take a picture from a certain angle do we know what motor it has.

A 2002 Access cab certainly would be a unicorn, since the access cab wasn't actually produced until the 2nd gens...

However this is an extracab... :D

Price is a bit high. My double cab trd 4x4 with shell was $17k with 58k miles in 2017 in California.

I’d also note that there is a low mileage Taco for sale somewhere pretty much every week out of the year. I saw quite a few different ones in my search.

You got a good deal on that considering the 1st gen market in CA, especially 4x4 double cabs. Nice

I never would have thought the price of anything here in the northeast would be relatively low but here we are:

    https://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/cto/d/glen-cove-2003-toyota-tacoma-trd-5spd-v6/6945022297.html

    https://jerseyshore.craigslist.org/cto/d/bayville-2004-toyota-tacoma-4x4/6937521923.html

But as mentioned above, pics of the frame are critical. Truth in advertising will generally explain the pricing:
