    I wish you were more local. They seem to consistently pop up for sale around me. I got mine for $500 with the camo neoprene cover kit

    @uhplifted I will also add, that even full brand new price after using mine, I’d 100% be willing to spend the price on one new. I use it WAY more than I figured I would. It also forced me to shoot more wildlife which I enjoy. The only downside, it’s heavy.... But all monster telephoto lenses are.

    What would you recommend I use for shooting surfing (or other action sports)? Monopod? Tripod?

    I have both, but I typically use the monopod for the big Tamron. It’s way easier to pivot, lower and move around with. It’s not like you’re fighting long exposure and the vibration reduction on these lenses is way better than it should be for the price.

    What area of NY are you? I'll do a quick Craigslist search, but this one I found is 18 months old, and he says it's been in box most of the time as he got a 200-500 Nikon. $450 seems like a solid price. All original equipment included.
    Thanks! I was thinking monopod as well

    do you guys shoot video's also? Mine is old enough it didnt have the option of video. I'd like to get into more night shots and stacking. Just never think about it.

    I got my D7200 because I Wanted to shoot video as well. I think I've actually used video on it once as a test lol.

    The guy is going to be out of town this Friday-Thursday, so it wouldn't sell in that time frame hah. I just don't know if I want to sit in traffic for that long lol. But I would get to take it down to the comp again and get some more surf shots which would be cool
