Hey now... there were only 4 of us... o_O

(That went for the hard trails.)

I should have suggested to the rest of them that they should split into smaller groups and run separate trails or stagger their start times, but I was super late getting there and they waited on me, so I was airing down while they were having their meeting. I hate that 10-20 truck/jeep lineup stuff too. But, for 90% of the group it was their first time there, so I think there was also the "safety in numbers" thing going on.

That said, I do have some pictures. We tried to run Daniel, but it was blocked by a flopped truck (who wasn't down there with us, but happens to be a friend/customer of mine and a member of the RVA group) and a Jeep with broken motor mounts. So we went and ran Dickey Bell, then later that night me and one other guy made a night run up Dutch John.

Then ran into @TacoFMS as he was leaving the next morning. Small world when you go 4.5 hours from home and end up running into a few people you know. Lol.

It was my first time down there and it was a blast. Knocked out two of the D's on the first trip. Wish I would have made it down Friday night or earlier Saturday morning, but it is what it is. Definitely going back sometime.

I wheeled with @TacoFMS and @TacoAlaMode We got to Daniel right after the SAS'd yota got off the trail and was at the parking lot with the Jeep. They did'n't get to see but the first 2 ledges of URE but I bet there will be a return trip. We ran the trails pretty quickly with some stops to BS and once to swap my tire that debeaded.

As far as hard trails yeah there isn't much there that's hard especially since they made everything flat. Front of Daniel going up is hardish at the ledges going down is just fun but not hard.

A guy (older gentleman) with a LC I think came over and chatted with us Sat evening he definitely is green as he thought it was pretty rough that several of the guys cut down tires on the back of Daniel. My reaction was where.

If you like riding fast (Briand and Justin said I have 2 settings on my throttle on or off :anonymous:) and like the "hard" stuff next time you come down I'd be willing to ride. I am usually there Sun and sometimes in the middle of the week.

I have a few. Been busy with training and the hotel Wi-Fi sucks, so it will be next week before I can put anything up.

Yeah, the other (big) group that went for the easier stuff ended up cutting 3 tires. I don't know how either. I'm open/open, so there were a lot of ruts where I had to drive into the walls to keep pressure on both wheels, and I didn't have any issues.

Dude with the white SAS'd Tacoma has been before and done the front of Daniel, but that was his first trip out since he finished the swap.

I do like the harder stuff, but I usually take it all at a kinda slow/medium speed. I'm there to relax.

Front of Daniel is very challenging open open especially the 2nd ledge I would of needed to be winched up. If you have lockers it's cake.

Maybe right after they fill it in. Once the ruts are dug back in front and behind the ledges only wheelbase is your friend.

The first ledge wasn't that bad at all. It seems pretty filled in. The second ledge is pretty washed out but lockers made quick work of it. They may be working on that trail next getting to the ledges there was a big washout across the trail that currently is filled with wooden fence posts, branches, and rocks. Every other trail there they have worked on. My guess is that's next on the list. It was really nice though the dirt roads being graded and all the washouts on them were gone, they were getting really rough.

I should be in URE this evening 5-6ish. I am just doing an overnight stay meeting with an old friend in a 2 door JK and another in a Cherokee where they are getting in a little later. I will probably just ride in and find the campsite, they may do a night ride?
I have to leave in the AM to get to work so I will just be hanging out.

Staying the night on Wolfs Den..just got the spot..

Just want to see how wet it is out there. I have a group of jeep brahs and me wanting to go out tomorrow. Hoping there wasn’t as much rain as Raleigh...

You are probably already out. Pretty good shape. Wicked Jeeps is running today doing training on some easy trails. The two Jeeps I met are in one of the groups.

Went to Uwharrie for the first time last Sunday with a buddy. We ran across a group of tacos with the same offroading group vinyl down the sides, can't remember the name though.

Stock 2019 TRD OR with 2100 miles, only added the 4runner pro wheels with 255/80-17 Cooper ST Maxx tires. Got my first pin stripes.

    Can't wait to go back.

    Here's a few pics.
