hmm...the light blinks whenever the compressor is turning at a different speed from the engine. If it's solid green, then the compressor is turning correctly so it can't be electrical or the compressor locked up. But maybe there are valves inside the compressor that are sticking, not letting the compressor...compress.

Are you sure you have refrigerant?

The OP is stating that the fan isn't blowing any air. In such a case, this has nothing to do with the AC - its a fan related issue. The fan will still run with the AC fuse pulled. I know this because I had a broken AC line just last week which caused my refrigerant and oil to leak out. I pulled the AC fuse to keep the compressor from engaging and burning up due to lack of oil while using the defrost.

If the fan isn't rotating and blowing air, it would likely be the switch, a relay, or the fan motor itself. It is quite common for the resistor in the rheostat for the blower (aka: fan switch) to crap out. Since you (the OP) don't know where to locate the blower motor, or know what a test light is, take the truck back to the dealer or have a friend in the know check it out.

A simple test the next time it happens would be to check the fan motor for power. If none is found, you know it isn't the motor but one of the components delivering the current (fan switch, relay, etc.).

It's a pretty common problem. It's in the hvac controls. Take out the controls, make sure everything is tight, and try putting it back in. You could also try getting a new one. To remove it, just take a butter knife or similar, and pop it from the bottom right where it meets the intrsument panel, then it just pops out.
