Did you do the tap-in fuse (for parking monitor) or just straight hard wire it? I decided against parking monitor, as it is garaged and secured parking at work...mostly got mine for the dual cam action.

For now, I did the fuse tap. If I change my mind, I’ll go the route you took.

Sorted out my Hi-Lift brackets. They clear just enough for my Softopper’s pivoting lugs to fully extend and retract.

    Small win for a weekday.

You lucky dog! Congratulations! Totally worth the investment. It’ll pay for itself, and had you bought a Bridgeport manual mill, it could replicate itself. But seriously :transformer::smokertransformer: would love to have a mill, manual or CNC! It’s gonna be fun! :burnrubber:

Yes I like Bridgeports but the weight was a consideration as well as the software package. Most used reasonably priced Bridgeports have the old limited conversational programming, which is fine, but has more limitations than what I wanted. Another consideration was that I already have all the R8 collets and holders that I use on my manual mill so I can share tooling. Looking forward to cranking this one up to 10k rpm's and doing some real damage (I mean machining). Now gotta train the wife to shovel chips. But honey I made you aluminum candle holders...

 I forgot how fun it was cleaning the chips out of a Matsurra 510-V! Something like 2 fifty-five gallon drums worth when full. :D

I used to machine both Navy carrier propellor shafts and the bearing sleeves. Chips the size of a bent thumb. We would shovel 4-6 hours. I do not miss that. Most of my machining career was running horizontal 4-5 axis cnc's with 2 pallets. Thank God for chip conveyors.
