Hello all! Just purchased the Morimoto Lo-beam HID kit 6500k from TRS and question about the cut offs. After installing them last night, I noticed the cut offs looked a little "blobby". I tried to adjust the bulb position in the housing but it didn't work and when looking from a distance at my truck, it looks like all the light is projecting upwards (halo looking thing above the blobbiness) and not much on to the ground. I swapped the sides the bulbs were on and still no joy.

I know the OEM projectors aren't the best since Ive installed the same kit a long time ago and I remember them being alot crisper before they burnt out within a year so I already have mixed feelings re-buying the Morimotos again. Also whoever left the review on TRSs site saying 6500k matches the DRL LEDs, get your eyes checked mate; just installed them and they are clearly different

Those oem projectors weren't made for hids/leds no matter what you do. You will not yield the results as a true hid projector. The throw distance appears to be there, but not much going on the foreground. Ever consider doing a retrofit?

Yes. It’s more involved but the results will be worth it.
