Was camping at Detroit Lake this weekend and convinced the family to try a little off-road wheeling up a logging road to a spot recommended by @thedriza . For an all-stock suspension and with a wife and two little kids in the car it was a little hairy at a few points.... but major props to driz for sharing that spot because it was an epic view of Mt Jefferson & the canyon below that was well worth the drive.

The offroad with a locker is going to be pretty good paired with good tires.

Started out at Maple Spring Road and drove it all the way to the backside of Corona. Fun little trail.

Took the family to Carova Beach yesterday. Chilled on the beach, surfed a little & found the wild Mustang horses (notice the deer hanging with the horses). All while checking out the "scenery", laughing at the drunkards and just all around dumbfounded at the tourists driving through the salt water to the point where the salt water was completely washing over their trucks. 20190728_175730.jpg

That is the confluence of the paria and Colorado rivers. Lee’s ferry is at the bottom.

Did a quick trip around(ish) the Santa Catalinas today for those who know Tucson...hopefully this isn't too many pictures:

Started by heading through Redington Pass
    IMG_1821.jpg

    Down to Cascabel Road
    IMG_1829.jpg

    North to San Manuel
    IMG_1830.jpg

    South through Oracle
    IMG_1831.jpg

Then up St Mt Lemon Rd.
    IMG_1832.jpg

Piss break detour was the most difficult section of road....
    IMG_1833.jpg
    IMG_1836.jpg
    IMG_1837.jpg

Though there was a perilous water crossing....careful!
    IMG_1838.jpg

    Almost there
    IMG_1843.jpg

Up top, just east of Summerhaven.
    IMG_1846.jpg
    IMG_1847.jpg

Definitely a fun 1/2 day trip, took about 4 hours altogether.

Did Metberry Gulch today. It was devastated by the Hayman fire back in 2002. Even though things are starting to grow back, most of the land is still covered in burn scars.20190802_111854.jpg 20190802_111607.jpg 20190802_101906.jpg
