upgrading from stock entune to stock premium?

is this even a thing? my 18 trd or came with the entune with sat/nav etc, but is not the jbl premium. is there any advantage to putting a jbl premium stock hu in its place prior to upgrading the speakers? tia!

 

More pita than it's worth. You will need the jbl amp in order to use the jbl hu. Or use a rockford fosgate DSR1.

 

Thanks for that. Honestly, have no idea what the differences are between the two. If i need an amp, suppose just keep my HU and amp it with the new speakers and a sub I guess.

Upgrade to a Android head unit. It really makes a difference. Will allow to add a sub woofer easily. Also Android Auto/CarPlay.

 

DO NOT UPGRADE TO JBL! Spend some money well spent and go aftermarket, your ears and wallet will thank you in the long run.
