Hey guys! I currently own a 2wd 2006 Tundra, but am planning to start building a Tacoma after I finish building my house next spring. Can't wait to learn from you guys and settle on exactly what generation I want to get.

I love the look of a 2002ish, but I'm worried about parts availability. Also, any 1st gen I find right now has nearly 300,000 miles (in our area).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! Cool. I go around Knoxville on my way to Michigan at least once a year to see family, haha.

Nice! You pretty much come right thru Knoxville coming up I-40 to I-75. You may hit the 640 bypass to get on 75.

Yep, we always take 640. It's crazy how familiar you can get with a route. It's about a 750 mile trip and I can drive it without a map now, haha. Can't beat the open country once we more north.

I feel you! I think I could get to Greenville blind folded.

Also I have family up near Buffalo NY and I know the route in my head, I don’t think I even used my phones maps the last time on a 650 mile trip. I’m going back up around Labor Day weekend and probably won’t use any GPS.
