Bought my truck slightly used and said it has a leveling kit and came with the wheels and tires it has but I have noticed it has some wear marks on the UCA and I’m a total noob and need some advice I know the tires are too big but I wanna know how to fix it correctly I know wheel spacers will work? But will the ball joints be screwed? Any and all advice is awesome

Does your truck have a Cab Mount Chop (CMC)? If not and running 285’s when you push your wheels out there is a risk of rubbing on the cab mounts.

So it’s not a huge prob with a slightly easy fix?

If you add spacers to push the wheels out (keeping the 285’s), there is a risk of rubbing on the cab mounts. A CMC is about ~$200.

You can try running 275’s and keep the rims you have. That may solve the rubbing on the UCA’s. Some tire shops will give you a 30-90 day trial period.

You can go back to stock or try some other combinations.

    As always, no guarantee, YMMV

I ran 285's on my gen 2 with 3" lift in front, 1" rear in rear and 1.25" wheel spacers and they run behind the tire. On my gen 3 with same set up on lift with 1.5" spacers and 265/75/17 and it works out good. 285's are nice, but you damn near need a 4" + lift in front to not have the front tires rub. I hope this helps.

Don't see how those tires would rub the UCA there. Someone enlighten me.
