I’m still confused on how the Ridgeline is classified as a truck. I associate myself with the millionaires, but that don’t mean I am one.

It's got a bed, it's a light duty truck. At least they got rid of that horrific unibody design and went to something a little more truck looking.

Unpopular opinion: 50%+ of the people here on TW are the ideal market segment for a Ridgeline. Need a bed for stuff occasionally, but really could do with a car most the time. Nothing wrong with wanting something more, but know which lane you're in. Proof is in all the "my chair isn't comfy"," my MPG is terrible", etc posts.

For the top model. Most of the mid range options are in the 30s.

I personally think the Ford Raptor is the most criminally overpriced truck there is. Esp in the periods when there's a demand premium of 15-20K added to them. But thats a different topic for a different thread.

Once the newness of the ranger wears off the incentives will start rolling in and prices will get better.

Right now if your y looking for a Ford truck you're better off getting a f150.

    Too few to list.
I think it's ridiculous that mid size pick up trucks have risen to the pricing of full size. My first Tacoma was in 2009 and only second to the top model with the navi. I paid $28,500 ($31,011.00 sticker).

I think the Nissan Frontier is the best value for the money. I know it's ancient but a brand new 2019 base 4 cyl 2wd manual Frontier still starts at just over $19K.

If manufacturers are so concerned about gas mileage, then they should stop making our trucks bigger and heavier. I'd be first in line to buy a compact pick up truck.

I don't think a lame assed Ridgeline gets any better MPGs than our trucks do so I doubt anyone crying about mileage would have anything to gain.

Maybe a smidge, but not meaningly improved. My point was, the ridgeline is as carlike as a truck-like object can get and still satisfy your occasional need to bring home a few bags of mulch from the co-op.

the lowest XL trim still gets the EcoBoost 270 horsepower engine. Same as a top-of-the-line Lariat. that should help sales on the low end. No other four-cylinder truck has that kind of power. Asperated V6s have a hard time keeping up.

I'm interested in possibly going to the Titan. Please let me know which dealership to call.

I like your open mindedness. You're not just here to bash the Ridgeline. I do take exception with you a little, however. The MPG's on the Ridge is probably more meaningful than you know compared to the Taco. I think you minimize the Ridgeline's capabilities when you say "still satisfy your occasional need to bring home a few bags of mulch from the co-op." The Ridge can bring home more bags of mulch than the Taco can. The only thing the Ridgeline can't do better than a Taco is off-road.

Looks like reported less than 2 MPG difference, considering many of the Tacoma's are going to have larger more aggressive tires, armor, and other accessories pulling that number down. I would stand by saying there is really no significant difference in MPG between the 2 of them.

I would have thought there to be a bigger difference. I've driven both and averaged 5 mpg's better in the Ridge.
