    When I bought my 2nd Gen in 2010, I originally wanted a brand new Speedway Blue. But the dealer (singular) up here at the time would not deal on price at all. We hadn't bought a brand new vehicle for over 13 years at that time. I was literally told they didn't care if I bought it or not, someone would buy it at sticker price the next day. So I got pissed, and then picked up a used 2007 Silver AC with 23,000 miles on it. If I can land a deal on this blue truck, I'll be very happy.

    Oh I know that well. When I bought my 4Runner the dealer acted like a TEP was made of unicorn farts and didn't want to budge off the sticker price. I had all the invoice prices and since they land in LA every couple of months I knew what was arriving on the boat and all they did is direct one this way. I had also went to carfax and got a quote on my trade in before hand. The pencil pusher really pissed me off basically calling me a liar when they offered 60% less on the trade in and would not go less than 2K more than I said was my bottom line. I left really pissed.

    Luckily my wife knows the dealership owner personally and when it got back to him I got exactly what I said I would pay and they matched the trade in value.
