Thanks! Haha Yeah I’m really considering it. Depends on where my money is after the house build and what I can find. The age of the 1st Gen models is a bit of a concern for lifespan & parts availability.

After doing a lot of reading on here I may switch it up a bit. Decisions, decisions...

I like them all! You'll find the right rig once the timing is right! You building the house yourself? That youtube channel looks like you're pretty handy! (Could just be camera magic though)!:anonymous:

Thanks, yeah we dad and I are doing all the work. It's definitely an experience! On top of the photo/video, we've also had a residential electrical business for 15 years. Both business are just the two of us, that way we work when we want and do what we want, when we want. Up until this point is mostly been work, work, work, and a little more work haha; all in preparation for this homestead build.

As far as being handy, we just refuse to pay anyone if there's even a remote chance that we can do the job ourselves. It's really saved us a ton of money over the years; and taught us so much too. We are very fortunate to have wives that are understanding of our desire to be frugal and be DIYers.

Also, Love your avatar and screen name, LOL. I was just showing my wife the trailer for Spaceballs last night, trying to convince her to watch it...yeah she wants nothing to do with it. I can't imagine why LOL.

We're in Greenwood, about an hour from GSP, but we get up there pretty regularly.

Haha, we usually stop in Lexington, KY on out way to MI about once a year, also to see family up in Traverse City.
