I like the quicksand too, but the blue was my first choice...my gut tells me to go with it. We shall see today in the next 7 hrs.

Sounds sticky and uncomfortable...stay safe my Brother. :fistbump:

Good morning, another nice day here. I'll take it.

I've always liked the blue but now you have me thinking Smurfmobile LOL. Still better than baby shit brown though...

Most my vehicles have been white, except my first car in the early 70's a burnt orange 67 mustang. Didn't take me long to figure out a car didn't fit my lifestyle hard to run the trapline. Taco is red I can live with that but wish it was white. Or blue..

~20 years ago my Dodge Dakota left me stranded on a busy overpass at 5:10 in the afternoon during what can be called rush hour here. It was snowing and it was white. In less than 5 minutes had 2 people hit me. I still like white though. When the trees are lousy with chlorophyll it is easy to find coming out of the woods.

Much safer than cooking on a wood deck like I do...

Grilled a steak last night too, did something different. Used marinade and phosphate that they use in steak competition cook offs. Was one of the best steaks have had yet. Smoked it with apple wood and reverse seared it.

Bought the Ex a Taurus station wagon she wanted, it was older than 98 and had the 3.8L V6 that blew head gaskets. Every time when I was out to sea on deployment. Paid for 3 repairs then after a class lawsuit against Ford they admitted it was an issue. One of the few things the Ex said that made sense was that a Ford will never again grace the driveway.

Many of my friends are retired and have no idea what day of the week it is anymore. I tell them they are now officially brain dead... I look forward to being brain dead myself.

Morning MQQSE! :hattip: Took me over an hour to read through the posts to catch up. Trying to work here LOL and that slows me down. Blue is a great choice

When I retired from active duty I got great pleasure out of leaving my cell phone on my dresser for days at a time. I'd respond to texts days later and friends would reply like "Dude, that was 3 days ago?"
"Yeah, well I ain't on call 24/7/365 no more."

I don't want to tow, would limit where I go too much. Not to mention I'd never take it into Yellowstone because traffic is too crazy and parking would be a bitch.
Payload on a Tundy is max 1700lbs. No hard sided camoers work with that.

If you’re in Tacoma, look up a pet store called Waggs. Friends of ours and they have several of our pups

Have a good trip, hope all goes well for you Rick!

When I was in Bremerton used to go down to Ft. Lewis to get first dips on GSA items mainly tools, at the time it was the Regional distribution center. A few sleeping bags and other items were usually in the boxes. I never complained :)

And Hood Canal is even better yet  Crossed the Narrows at Tacoma quite a bit but always thought of the movie they used to show in physics class of the Bridge collapsing from a 40 mph wind.

The Hood Canal Bridge sunk while I was in Bremerton. Never bothered me it helped slow down all the people from Seattle invading the Olympics. That is where I bought my first Toyota my Iron Pig FJ-55

Would be a lot further ahead today if I would had stayed with Toyota over the years.

The Government gave me a K car on recruiting duty, until I killed it and not from neglect or crashing it. Was first front wheel drive car that I ever drove, it had more than its share of limitations. They eventually went back to giving us 4x4 vehicles in the mountains.
