You just need to find friends with jet skis. Two of my neighbors also have SeaDoo's. We almost always ride together.

    What size is it?
I really want a bike again but have a feeling the wife isn't going to have any part of that.
I think I have a better chance convincing an atv that can be used around the farm.

Looks like I found the back window sticker for you.... Made me chuckle at first (due to the play on no one cares about your stick figure family) but then I remembered my proximity to Charlottesville and understood why she said she gets varied responses to it.

TTR-230 trail bike. Sold yesterday. Now i'm having a really hard time deciding if I want to get another bike or an ATV. If I get a bike I want something with a little more power. That thing was slow af. Im thinkin maybe a 125 2-stroke. Or 400EX if I choose ATV. Idk

I assume you got this done. It’s one of the easier mod-ette’s todo.

I didn’t. I just don’t have the tools and being a rookie with car knowledge, I figured itd be better to wait. Also, I couldn’t figure out how to get the clips off of the brackets for the top part of the lines. Its a tough angle

    Couple questions:

Have you ever bled you brakes? You will have to do this after replacing the brake lines. Also brake fluid is nasty stuff. It will eat paint if left sitting long enough.

Why are you extending the brake lines? Do you go offroad? A small lift (1-1.5 inches), can get away with a spacer under the brake line bracket.

Suggest you get a set of "Flare Nut Wrench's".

Another bike might be in your future. If you only take it places to ride and you will not be using it for work then you probably want another bike. Sport quads are fun. Utility ATV's are workhorses. My next move will probably be a SxS of some sort. I can't (see: shouldn't) put the family on my ATV. A SxS would also serve as a golf cart for putting around the community. I'd have to sell the ATV and the SeaDoo to even think about a SxS though.

Yep. I think you're right. SxS would be awesome in your situation. Wish I was in a place where I could just get all the toys! lol

Imo SxS's are more fun in the trails than trucks. With its smaller size you can take it deeper into the woods. I use to use my landcruiser to explore, since I bought my SxS the LC mostly just sits. My SxS can seat 5 adults so its able to haul friends like a truck. Only thing I miss during the summer is AC. I know how you feel, I sold one of my vintage motorcycles to buy my SxS. Love my SxS for work and play.

Never bled brakes, but that seems like the easy part.

I have a lift of a little over 2in in the back, so its cutting it close. Also, already picked up the flare nut wrenches. My issue was getting to the top of the brake lines and getting those shims off

Dude, two strokes are where it’s at, seriously. The powerband is ridiculous. Get a YZ125/250 and you won’t be disappointed. I’d recommend the 250.

I’m not ready to buy yet unfortunately. Won’t have money in hand until the end of the year.

Drop the spare tire. Gets you more room to work under there. I sprayed the brake line connections with engine cleaner then hosed it off. Gets the mud etc out of the way. Spray the clips with WD40. The clips pull up. They are a bit tight. Use a mirror to see what you are doing. I used a small screwdriver for leverage.

After I got the lines open, I used vacuum line caps to stop the brake fluid from leaking all overflow the place. Replace brake lines. Bled brake lines. Spray everything that got dripped with brake fluid with engine cleaner. Rinse. Done.

Yep, @TwoStickTrick has a mid 90's CR250 thats a ton of fun, but it's honestly too much top end power for tight trail riding. It's not happy until the RPMs are high. On the track i'm sure it's a monster though. I'm actually going to look at a CR125 tomorrow.
