Also, I saw your build a long time ago because I was interested in doing a SUA cantilever on a 4Runner. Very nice!

I got a pretty decent trick for figuring out bumpsteer if your building your own kit and spindles...no math required just a string and a sharpie lol

And the antisquat at ride height I believe matters..fast trucks you want the truck to sit down...crawler trucks stand up because of the hill they're trying to go up. If you shoot for roughly 50% your in the right ballpark.

Soo for bumpsteer if you can move or are trying to locate your knuckle pivot....at full drop wheel straight ahead take a string from the rack pivot with a sharpie on the spindle end of the string mark an arc on the spindle....go to full bump do the same thing ...where they intersect is where your outer pivot needs to be...boom done

You should look at how some of the rock bouncers do their trailing arms to combat this. SE mud and rock tends to collect like that really bad eating up the lower shock mounts. Tim Cameron with his fully machined aluminum ones are the cream of the crop, completely open where the shocks are.

First set of bypasses. They shipped compressed with no nitrogen pressure. Do I need to extend them before I pressurize them or do I pressurize them as is (compressed)

Add nitrogen as compressed and they will extend as you do it

Hows the clicking on those? Ive seen a few trucks with them around town but never close enough to hear them or not hear them.
Guessing its more noticeable if the piston is closer to tubes at ride height or is it usually close enough to where you’re hearing them even when going over smaller bumps around town?

You’ll hear it around town here and there, but it’s not too bad. Off-road they click a lot, but still without a roll cage I personally don’t think it’s too terrible for the performance gains.

If the shock shaft moves the bypass valves move...its not bad if your truck isnt caged...turn the tunes up u cant hear em....caged truck....sounds like shit is falling off lol I posted a video a couple pages back and you can hear em in the video

I don’t understand why this is such a common topic. Why go bypass if you’re going to be concerned about noise? You either need the performance benefits or you don’t.

I honestly have never been around them in person. To me its really hard to isolate them in a video with all the other truck noises so its really more of a curiosity thing/ not knowing what to expect
    Thanks man

I think people just get concerned when they learn that by using these higher performance shocks it is going to cause a noticeable noise in their ride. I wouldn’t say I was “concerned” before I bought mine, but I definitely tried to find videos and do research to prepare myself for what sort of sounds I’d expect.

On a non caged truck you’ll barely hear anything.

Bypass clicks are music to my ears, I always prank people who don’t know what it is the first time they come for a ride.
