    Well my wheel spacers came in today. Just got them on and had to do some additional cutting but nothing is rubbing now. The real test is to see of it'll make that loud ass sound when I'm making a right :drevil:

    Shouldn’t, it’s the stock gas tank skid. I may hit it with a rattle can if anything. Last time I went on a 400+ mile trip in my truck I threw a rock into my gas tank... fun shit.

    i had my stock fuel tank shield recently powdercoated, it had 22 years of weathering but was still in reasonable condition to have a good sanding and coating

    maybe the materials used (from what was used on the 1st gens) for those skids are better able to battle the climate better
