I plan on doing not much rock crawling. But look at @turbodb trip thread. Pretty much what @eon_blue does and that's what I'm after. So SC is the better way I'd think. Cost is about the same to

When time comes and you want a real bumper/bar to protect your vehicle from wildlife and bad drivers you will want the ARB front kangaroo bar. Prolly pictures in the front bumper thread to give you an idea

I was looking at stuff for turbo builds and it seems like you just have to suck it up and figure out how to get it running with a standalone ECU because getting a piggy back to work right is an endless PITA

In other news a 1UZ turbo build would probably require a standalone :homer:

yeah turbo parts are generally cheap because they're just parts not necessarily meant for any one application...the expense comes from getting them to work on your application and getting them to run right (tune). Unless you find a kit meant specifically for your ride but then it's gonna be $$$$$

In California they'll count your dick as a pole and tax you accordingly, if your dick exceeds maximum allowed length they'll tax you for illegal sword fishing, if your dick doesn't meet the length requirements California will tax you for poaching
California law: dick must be more than 1" to be one pole but less than 10" to be counted as 2 poles. (Yes California knows that doesn't make sense, no worries theyre gonna tax you for 3 poles anyway.)

I mean if you're already doing the work for a turbo build... you might as well do it to a 1UZ :notsure:

It's not about rock crawling or not, it's about the RPM's the engine will be at in your intended use of the truck. I don't have a clue why anyone would install a turbo in a non race truck.
In around 1991 I drove a brand new Lotus Turbo Espirit. Slower than a 1972 Ford Pinto with an automatic trans before boost, once the RPM's kicked in it was actually pretty fun to drive.
