Hey guys, I’m hitting Hurricane Creek Saturday 8/3/19. Camping that night and hitting max patch Sunday morning. If anyone is interested let me know. So far there’s 5 of us going.

Fuel filter maybe? Hopefully not the pump.

Vacation home while we fix it up, after that not sure, depends on the market. Will likely keep it and rent part of it. It has an addition on the back we may add a bathroom to and either AirBnB or just keep for us while we rent the main part of the house. To be honest I am buying it so I don't feel bad leaving my wife all weekend in Charlotte while I mountain bike. :anonymous:

Kinda hard to diag over the interwebs with very little info. It'd be like shotgun fixing. So many different things could be the cause. If he's a mechanic worth his salt then he should know how to properly diag. if not take it somewhere else.

He suggested I have towed to dealership.... but that isn't a option right now due to $$$...... so for now, I had it towed home.

My stock (flexible) bumper has 'bumped' my bed and it now requires a paint job on both back corners.
Anyone have an 'Overland', or at least stronger, bumper for sale?
Or I will take suggestions for makers/sellers.

Hey everybody...haven't been on TW for a while but since I moved to the Asheville area and in need of some input I knew just the right place...I am selling my Softopper and looking for a hard shell for 2013 double cap. Anybody has experience with any dealers up here and also has some input about brands. I am either looking for the ARE MX or Leer 180 it is I believe. Love the extra head room and they actually look pretty good too.
Thanks all and have a great day.

The LineX (ARE) dealer in Canton I dealt with, and bought through, is now owned by someone else. I called and they are in Asheville now. Unremarkable. They just were a middleman and did mediocre installation quality.

Before I bought my ARE MX cap at the place above I stopped by Jim Campen.
I stood there 20 minutes waiting for the guy to talk to to get off the phone with IT support. 5ft away, and he saw me, he not once asked me what I wanted or said he would be with me soon. I determined that I did not want to have to after-the-sale support from them. I walked out and never returned.

I would definitely check out the 3rd before buying, if I had it to do over. I have heard 2 people happy with them.

I've used Boondocks a couple of times and I have always had great service from them. I have bought used shells and taken them to him and had him reseal with new foam and he's always had no problem doing it for me.

I may call Boondocks about fixing my leaks, it leaks when it rains or when I wash it. Other than that it stays dry. :)
