    True. I only recommended the TRD base tune since it seems fairly trouble free and not sure how much the BullyDog cost. My TRD flash was $100. Either way, all your worries will disappear with the HP Tuner.

    Which headers do you guys recommend assuming URD is not an option due to having the Total Chaos Coil Bucket Gussets installed? Doug Thorley, JBA?

    I know that URD says they won't fit with the gusset, but nowhere on my exhaust can I see where it would be a issue. Unless they are meaning the gusset is in the way for installation. But you can always just take the exhaust studs out and they will slide into the same spot they live without needing extra room. But if possible I would suggest the URD headers. But is someone else knows why they don't work together let me know please.

    I’ve heard there’s not an appreciable difference in performance between JBA/DT/URD except that URD’s equal length headers might be better than the others.

    So I think I'm due for a new clutch and that the clutch accumulator needs to go, see what you guys think....

    Under hard acceleration/shifting, it feels like the clutch isn't engaging fully. I can move forward, but the revs are WAY to high, and when I shift, the revs just climb and slow movement forward is all I get. I feel like A) my clutch is dying and B) the accumulator is doing more, or seems to be doing more due to a bad clutch plate.

    EDIT: I can drive around just fine if I dont mash the skinny pedal and engage the clutch like a normal person

    Not sure about the longtubes, but for the shorties, I read somewhere the Thorleys use a 14 gauge metal for the primary tubes that's thicker than the JBAs.

    It does sound like you're due for a new clutch but, whether you are or not, the clutch accumulator needs to go! If you're not using HPT to remove rev hang, I highly recommend that as well.

    I have heard of a few people when they first came out that installed them and had the header tube itself rattling against the gussets.

    I have heard URD for the win from many. My only issue if I went that route is it deletes the CAT which will be problematic in CA. damn them. Was looking at them last night..

    Yeah, I am not willing to take that risk. I dont like starting a project with tight tolerances. Everything always moves more than expected.

    Unless you opt for no tune they include it in the new Magnuson setup. Saves you $500 if you do not get it though. $100-$250 is great if thats all it is for the TRD tune.

    Yeah, I had a set of URD ready to install. Decided coil bucket gussets and holding the truck together was more important than more power and sold the headers. Now I am revisiting headers and definitely want something that is going to fit with some room to spare.

    Did you consider your own set of gussets rather than the TC ones. I was planning on adding those as well and would like headers down the line now with adding the SC.
