    4 Wheel Parts said they did that to start with when I first went in and they put on the Icons that busted they charged me for two hours of shop time. I am running 285x75x17 KO3. This is what is bullshit in my opinion, This will be my 7th time going back between doing the shock swap. For people like me who are new to this and who don't know what they are looking at and asking professionals and they tell people they did things they didn't.

    So you're running a 34" tire, with no CMC? No wonder you're rubbing.

    Where are you located?

    Edit: I see where they did the "CMC" now that I'm looking back at the pictures. That's one of the worst I've seen for sure.

    Lifting the truck wont prevent rubbing, it'll just sit the tire lower at ride height. Have you had an alignment done? What's your caster set at?

    They did an alignment when I had them swap the shocks from Icon that busted to these new fox shocks. I can see when I get home. I know all the boxes were green on the paper. I have zero confidence in 4 Wheel parts at this point. Where else would you look to get it done correctly? I live in Charlotte, NC but when I search google I don't see a shop pop up.

    I don't live on that side of the country. I have no idea where you'd go. Lets get the alignment #s and go from there. You may just need to trim some plastic.

    Its definitely hitting the metal. I looked at before and after cab mount chop and they didn't do it... 4 wheel parts in charlotte, NC is a bunch of BS! I had to take it in 4 times to get it right the first set of shocks and now this will be yet another trip... Plus they charged me for shop time to do it. Just pissed off today. It keep being one thing then another with them.

    I am also in the CLT area, Davidson actually. There are some decent shops, from what I hear, but I prefer to do all of my own work, especially on major components. Watch a few youtube videos, buy/borrow tools, grab a friend who knows a thing or two about how to turn a wrench, and spend the day fixing it.

    You definitely need a CMC. You have on eof th emost common setups, 2-3" lift and 33"s. You need a CMC, unless your truck is magical and you're lucky. Neither is the case for you, sorry haha. When I did my CMC, with the help of a friend a fellow member, I went as deep as I could just in case I went bigger than 32 or 33" tires. If you have a friend with a welder, it's not terribly difficult.

    The problem is whether they knew or not. A standard alignment would put you around 1 degree of castor at least that's what the dealer does. Fitting 285 you want at least 3.5 degree if not more.

    Plenty of guys leave the body Mount open after the cut. Just depends what you want.

    You do not need 3.5 degrees to fit a 33”. Maybe a 35, but not a 33”.

    I haven't seen any cases where running a 285 tire did not require a cmc. Only one video on YouTube where the guy came back and said it was needed.

    Well I mean I had 3.7 degree on a 2"lift and still rubbed under compression.

    These trucks are so different it all depends on your set up. Some guys say they fit a 33 with no CMC.

    I'm at 4.1 degree now with the dirt King lowers and total chaos uppers
