Nope. You must read all 10273 posts besides yours.....:crapstorm:

    My solution...
    20190519_162540.jpg 20190330_171908.jpg

Could probably squeeze 3 more on there, at least 2.....

You could easily fit 3 more with the handlebars to the rear.

    My exact thought.
Usually just me though. Sometimes one of my teens, or a buddy.

Keep tossing the idea of a front loader on the bars, or something similar.... but....

And no, hitch rack is not an option.

I think I was talking to @backcountryj a while back about racks and meant to check but the tailgate clears the rack and my remedy (not sure about my other bikes) in the fully down position. It will almost clear the rack in the flat position but the tailgate rests on the tire arm holder thing. It’s basically all the way open though.

No contact on the hitch pivot point in the flat position?

@tgmccrory Other options that allow full tailgate use while the rack is installed that I’ve found in a similar search are the Yakima Dr. Tray and anything 1upUSA. Possibly the RockyMount Splitrail. Still hoping @Alden will chime in on that one :tumbleweed:

Nope, it’s pretty close but no. It just rests on the arm thing in the flat position.

I lower the rack all the way whenever I need to open the tailgate anyways since I don’t like banging my knees/shins on the rack haha.

Never had anything above Deore in Shimano, but I’m sure that xtr is super nice!

XT(2x) on the fuel, and SLX(1x) on the TJ

Even the SLX shifts smooth under power uphill. No hiccups, etc...
    The XT feels better, but....

Still not sold on 1x over 2x. My Fuel is faster on the stretch. But, I find myself picking a gear, and using the front ring for up/down. And the 1x, I seem to find a gear, and just push through....

I have an unbranded sram drivetrain on my stump jumper and have had no complaints from it. I stuck with the sram because the kit had everything to change to a 12 speed and the price was right. Either brand would be an upgrade to what I have currently on the bike.

I rode shimano for years on both my road and mtb thinking “it’s the classic, it’s reliable, what could be better”.....then I tried SRAM. Their road stuff got me hooked so I swapped my mtb and never looked back. To me the shifting was much more precise and felt smoother. It’s really just preference, but for me SRAM for sure.

The shifting was similar between the two, but where shimano shined for me was their road disc brakes...made my sram stuff feel like unreliable ass. Now if you take sram in the mountain bike arena...then that's a different comparison.
