@Pyrite_Pirate asked the guy about a year and a half ago if he was interested in selling this runner and the guy said $5k was what he wanted. Since then its barely been driven and he has changed the oil and put a battery in it.

So i think $500 is fair, but may be rude. We’ll see.

He keeps hanging on it being rare since apparently they only made 500 5spd manual ones in 2000? Does that sound right?

I have no idea how brutal or expensive the clutch job would be.

That’s why they are hard to sell; because no everyone drives manual transmission, except people like us. You can use that on your favor

Got rid of the solar panel and water tank today. The wife and I have decided to pick up a new hobby:

    20190731_191702.jpg

Kayaking! Our kayaks will arrive in the next week or two, so I went ahead and put the mounts on since I have to go pick the kayaks up.

I'm also gonna build a fishing rod and paddle holder running down the middle of the roofrack.

A few years ago I bought a real nice dark green 00 or 01 5 speed 4runner for $700 from a customer at my work. 200k+ miles but all it needed was a good interior cleaning & a starter. I bought it, switched the 4 brand new Kelly tires with my wife's old worn 4runner tires then sold it for $1500 to a Mexican guy I know. He put his temp tag on it, pop started it and drove off. Hes still driving it today. I wish I would've kept that one. Body, paint & undercarriage was clean and it was a 5 speed.

I've got the perfect spot for you to launch kayaks on the potomac if your interested. You could camp there too.

I may still be able to come up for it. Green ridge is about 5 hours from me now. That’s why I’m going up Labor Day weekend, so I can spend 3 nights there
