We have shitty spray carwashes around me. My garden hose generates more force than some them around here. I need to just break down and get me a pressure washer. Then, no more $10 in quarters every time I wash my truck! lol

It's less about the pressure washer and more about the soap for the mats. When I spray the soap on mine you can see the soap pretty much lifting all the nasty stuck on dirt right off.

I think they purposely turn down the pressure on those things, now that I think about it. To make you drop more money into their machines!

Man I am loving this Ring stuff. It all sets up so easily and the 2 Alexa dots that came with it are great. Nobody knocks on my door and scares the piss out of my dogs anymore, they just ring the doorbell and Alexa says someone is at the door and my phone chimes. Dogs have no idea.

    Lol, I need a doorbell.

I bought 4 floodlight cams. I had the alarm system for a week then decided it’s dumb to have since no one can get can approach my house without me knowing. Took that back to Costco.

What if you aren’t there? They can’t approach then?

So I’ll be towing a tandem axle with the Tacoma down to Pensacola. I’m going down there for work which will be paying me 58 cents a mile this trip, and it just so happens an 85 4Runner is in Pensacola too. If I get it expect lots of bitching on the towing otw back home.

I still have the floodlight cams, I was referring to the alarm system on the wall and doors. I thought that was dumb since my entire house has 360 view with the floodlights.

Someone will trip the floods before the alarm. Therefore useless.

But if you aren’t there and they know that, then the floods aren’t scaring them off.

Motion lights won't deter really determined individuals. Cameras usually do a better job at deterrence, but can't stop anyone from physically entering your home and taking your shit. I'm thankful I've never had to deal with a burglary or a home invasion. Believe it or not, a dog that barks is an exceptional deterrent.

It goes to my phone and I can sound an alarm, plus I’m never home, but two German shepherds are great deterrents.

It also helps having multiple vehicles. No one ever knows if anyone is home or not.

I’m familiar with towing, just not with the Tacoma more than a single axle and maybe 2k pounds is most I’ve done. I may take the f250 Cummins, but it’s not as nice of a ride for 4 hours one way.

It’s what I tell everyone I work for that asks about security of the opener holding door down or a lock. If they want in they’re getting in.

Lol anyone can easily track down that you aren’t home, that’s simple. Your floodlights are tied to an alarm or you have a separate one? I thought you said you returned the alarm system, or did you mean just the sensors?

Our motion lights are tied to our alarm system and we have it set to beep when a motion light goes off. When we're dead asleep and it goes off, I'll grab a weapon of some flavor and go check it out.

Everything ring is tied to the app. I do not have the alarm, but I still pay the $100 a year for monitoring using cameras.

This is what I took back because I didn’t see a use with all the cameras I have.

Sometimes, all the camera does, is record your place being broken in to! lol I don't worry so much in my neighborhood, as we are all pretty tight and watch out for each other, take out the trash and get the mail for each other when someone's gone, etc. A retired sheriff behind us and a retired infantry sergeant major caddy-cornered to us. We fish and hunt together when we can all get together...
