Full grain leather hasn’t had any of the skin removed from the top leaving that rich deep marbled look you are looking for. I don’t know if I can get leather thin enough to make a boot from in that style but I’ll call the shop and find out.

I have an M/T so I took my pattern from that. I don’t have an AT boot to work from so if you or anyone else can get me good pics or somehow get me a traced pic on graph paper so I can get the size right.

Do any of you know if the e-brake boot on the at and mt are the same?

New shift boot and e-brake boot. What a pita. Had to reinforce the top of the shift boot with a patch to keep it square and upright. The e-brake is almost mounted. The tabs are hard to get everything under. I shortened the e-brake boot some, there was a ton of extra material.image.jpgimage.jpg

Awesome, make it in black and I’ll buy it. Can’t do that foreskin color.

Also, what would be our price? Less than $100 or more?

Looks great, you’re the first person I’ve seen here to make real leather shift boots.

If I can do it on a machine I think I can do both boots with no accent stitching, only because my machine can’t fit into the top of the boot, for $100.00. Lamb skin is what I just bought but the leather shop guy said he has what you want. It’s gonna run me $80.00 for it and I already have $300.00 in leather on my credit card as it is. You don’t need the whole thing so I can’t make my money back on it with your sale alone. Fitting and finishing is a bit of a bitch. Trimming the e-brake boot off the wire and cutting the holes and slots in the new boot to clip it in, because the leather is thicker, is a pain in the ass. If I can trim the pieces out sew them together and get the boots out in less than something like 2 hours it will be cheaper because you would be doing the real pain in the butt work. It’s about $30.00 in leather the rest is labor.946E764B-A9EC-4461-9F1E-45DD9443A0D5.jpg

The accent stitching, the grey, is tough. My machine will not go that high inside the boot top. It would have to be hand done= 8 stitch lines hand punched and hand threaded=hours of work. Mabey 1 1/2 hours per line. It would be cheaper for you to buy the 1/8”x8 prong punch and raw-hide hammer and thread and do it your self.

Ha-ha that fuckin’ thread is something else. I’ll make him sick. How many different hides, skins, and furs can I pack in an interior?
