I've watched enough David J. Marks and read all his work I can get my hands on. I will never be David J. Marks LOL. But yes the first thing he does is build up a template which is what I would do

The curves need to be on the side and the contact area narrower. Cardboard is much cheaper to work with. Although I do have a couple tons of red oak in my back yard. Actually the crown of the tree is on my septic drain field.

    Red Oak down deer.jpg

The deer have been browsing on the leaves but not doing much for making it go away. That deer above is about a 15 yard chip shot with the bow standing next to my gasser on the deck. So had to break out the chain saw.

    Red Oak trimmed.jpg

Always wanted a bridge across the ravine to the other side but wasn't quite what I had in mind LOL. The 2 forks left are broken at the main trunk just barely hanging on and it will get hairy doing the rest, that much weight chit happens in a hurry. But I could make a hell of a lot of scrapers out of that red oak. But it will end up likely just rotting.

    4) Cold Iron? :spy:

Been slowly chopping it up by hand. Which isn’t as easy as I remember it...

It’ll be nice burning this winter though!

I also need to try cooking with it in the Bbq.

I never seem to cook a small amount on mine. Minimum of 4 peeps. I figure you have to clean the whole thing anyway so just move the small item all over it. Boom. Problem solved.

Oh, the other is an old pic of a kid holding a stringer of fish. :p
It sure looks like an old stretcher of some sort. What, I have no idea. If my dad was still alive, I bet he would know.

Having grown up on a farm I've used several different stretching tools. I can't see how this would be used to stretch wire. On the third notch down, you can see the catch part. :notsure:

I threw the bag away. I didn’t want to use them to smoke. Would rather use the better lumberjacks I just got, and not use the more expensive lumberjacks to burn in a grate
