Always, careful with part store cv's as the don't offer the same articulation as oem and will bind at full droop and KABANG!

Clear the code. No sense just throwing more stuff at it. Switch coil packs with another and see if the code follows.

Installed a @RelentlessFab Summit bumper on the truck. More pics once I get everything dialed in, that picture was taken during mock up.

Made life difficult for myself by installing my power tank bracket.

How you ask? By using Allen head bolts to deter theft of my bracket

Nice, did you get the tent from the Tepui sale up there? Noticed you're in Gilroy, awful to hear about what happened up there a couple days ago. My wife had an aunt and cousin at the event when it happened. Scary stuff.

Yes I got lucky on one of the last kukenam 3s they had!
And yea its truly sad when something like that hits so close to home. I'm only a few blocks away from where the festival is hosted. Fortunate for my family and our hatred of crowded places, we keep away from those types events. I cant imagine that kind of terror.

Yeah, I don’t know that the deal is with OVtune. And I definitely have the iECTS. I fucking hate it. I already had to buy a $700.00 Throttle body to fix a few intermittent issues. And what happens if I have issues down the road? Another $700.00. Highway robbery.

I’d really prefer to run a stand-alone, I could accomplish so much more. But I don’t have the cash for a that, a wiring harness and then a dyno tune from
The ground up. MS3 is an option if someone has supercharger maps I can load in.

OVtune claims to have cracked the 03-04 ECU. They will only sell the dongle to access the maps but no tunes or tech support. You have to do that yourself. It’s been a few months and it seems they have since stopped responding to emails regarding the 03-04 ECUs.

Yea that all seems way over my head. I was hoping to hear that a plug-and-play turbo and chip package was available. I'm not looking to drag race, I just want more oomph and/or mileage though the efficiency of a turbo.

    No market.

    A) not a lot of people spending money on 1st gens in general compared to other gens
    B) your targeting only two maybe 2.5 years of production
    C) then the targeted audience is even smaller as you need someone with boost or wanting more performance within just those two years.

Not gonna sell a lot of them.

That's all acknowledged in the thread and by OVTune. They will make some "easy" money by selling the dongle (profit margins), and then send a download link and provide no support or maps or anything past that.

Even without boost, having the ability to change auto trans shift maps, torque converter lockup, etc, there would be more performance gains from a naturally aspirated engine than you get from one of those bullshit "tornado" or whatever inline air intake gimmicks, noisy exhaust, noisy "cold air" intakes, et al.

Don’t forget timing based on gear. That, fuel enrichment, and tweaking the torque converter would be a game changer for me.

Went to check the oil the other day and noticed the PS reservoir cap was really wet. It's always seeped a little, but seems to be getting really bad.

Is the anyway to replace just the seal on the cap or does the whole cap have to be replaced? And if so, where does one buy the cap?

Mine's always been like that since I got my truck, the cap is always wet with moisture from the PS fluid.

Oddly enough the level never seems to drop though, I check it regularly...so I haven't been too concerned with the wetness on the cap. I just clean it off after I check the fluid level.

If it's just a matter of replacing the seal or cap though, I'll give that a shot
