The hell kind of car are they quoting that price for, a Semi?

The dealer where my truck was bought new in Fremont, CA only charges around $50 for a Synthetic Oil Change and Filter.

Shit, I’m tired. Took about three hours to get that tent set up including running into town to the local ACE around get longer bolts.

Worked on a 2012 Camry SE right after running a backup camera, front and rear dashcam, and adding a Gentex mirror. I was lucky and found that the power rear view mirror harness was taped up under the headliner. I just cut the factory connector, and spliced the Gentex harness to it.

I'm happy you got the battery replaced through warranty. That's awesome.

This is the second warranty replacement. The first one was a week ago, I was 12 days away from the three year warranty expiring. Battery died a few days ago (I learned from the trunk light still being in from the deformed trunk switch not depressing from the accident) unbeknownst to me.

I’m taking it to the insurance adjuster tomorrow, they’ll write us a check then and there based on how much they’ll give us for the damage. Then I’m off to rent a port-a-jib to push the unibody out, and fixing the damage myself.

The Mercedes dealer only charged us $80 when we had them do synthetic oil changes, and that’s a Mercedes dealer in the Silicon Valley.

Reminds me of the prices to get the Nissan Ester oil change. Sure it lasts way longer cause it doesn't sheer down but it's still weird to have the shit in there for 30k mi. Plus a lot of their VQ engines leaked notoriously so I'd worry about it going dry too. But they sold the hell outta the $175 oil changes

I think my last one was $58 but not at a dealer... $180 WTF?
    Oil change $58
    Fuel $25
    Entrance to Mexico $0
Liquor in Mexico $40 (assuming it's not tainted and doesn't kill you)
    Beautiful Mexican hooker $20
You got $37 left to take a girlfriend to the movies - she buys the popcorn at $65 and 2 cokes for $32...
    Lmao jk

Yeah, their ester oil when used from factory and never deviated from left an engine looking like new even if you ran it to the edge of the 30k oci. Even synthetic stains an engine a bit if left in too long, but this shit was some hyper refined mineral oil and just performed. It was designed for the super tight tolerances of the VQ engines, they sheer conventional oil down to water viscosity rather fast and wear out the anti wear additives. They're fine on synthetic though so you can live without the mineral oil.

Wish I had it up higher, it’s a tad difficult to use the Annex.

Looking at bitog.com about this Nissan oil, it is a legit true full Ester based oil. Wow. How long ago did they start using this in thosd engines? They were hella advanced then huh? Interesting, I got more reading to do

Kinda weird stuff, it came around before full synth was a viable option. It really was a product of the VQ engines close tolerances

I’m liking it, still have the entire bed to store crap in - plus it looks pretty cool too. Ordering up the Hi-Lift Mount to yeet on the side rails.

Have a trip planned for Yosemite in two weeks, will I learn how to weld... or pay someone else to weld the armor together? Find out in the next episode of Dragon Ball Z.

Apparently super high in moly which is awesome.
Sounds like some of the modern day Z Boyz in the forums, you know the fckboi types, are saying they are changing this Nissan Ester oil for 175 bucks a change and they're doing it every 3-4k miles.:rofl:wouldn't surprise me
