I am waiting for Meso shift knob, this looks like a easy install but why are we not just pressing the ECT button? It does not take much to do that.
I am not putting your device down, just asking questions. Once you have this mod installed, how do you get ECT off?

to get ECT off then you push it, i never turn mine off.

Two original boards left! Which @arrijay and one other have claimed. Sending PM's now...If anybody wants more, we'll have to set up that group buy so we can order the right amount of circuit boards...

To answer the question about turning the mod on/off, a simple 5 second long press of the button activates/deactivates the module that can be heard with a single/double beep. Everything is in the isntructions. The button can ALWAYS be used as normal regardless of whether the module is active/inactive...

:thumbsup:OP, received your letter today in the mail with the stickers. Speaks volumes when you go through all that trouble, so I thank you. The ect mod has worked perfectly since the install and was definitely worth it...

So this is where we are at this point in our history that we come up with mods that basically keep us from having to make a half second press of a button? No offense to anyone that wants it but I just don’t see the point.

What's wrong with wanting a set it and forget it type of set up?

You should have bought a truck from the mid 80's with manual windows, old tech and low to zero automation.

Really? Because manual windows are the equivalent of a half second button push?

There's nothing wrong with it per say, but I remember watching a Jetson’s episode once where George came home and his wife asked him how was work? He said he was exhausted because he had to push three buttons that day. That’s kind of what I was referring to. If you want it, go for it, I couldn’t give a shit less since it doesn’t affect me one way or the other.

OTOH, I’m just making an observation and commenting that it seems like a waste of money for such little return to me. YMMV.

The point of the mod for me was less about the actual pressing of the button, and almost entirely about me forgetting to push the button whenever I got in. So it's more of a memory enhancing mod than a time saving mod.

Again no offense intended just an observation. I forget on occasion too. I’m pretty used to it by now though.

same here, when making stops at a few stores and forget to push it and turn out into traffic and the truck can't get out of its own way.
