That's pretty odd. My trucks was manufactured 9/05 but sold as an 06, and it's got the 8" mid pinion. Front diff. Every gear supplier I've looked at lists 04 as the end of 7.5", and 05+ begins the 8". I guess Toyota was just trying to use up what they had laying around when they started making the 05's. :notsure:

Yes yours is an 06 truck. Your manufacturer date was in 05 but your truck is an 06.

Here's what is even more goofy. The casing for the 7.5 and 8 are almost identical the only difference is the carrier, ring and pinion. So if you ever wanted to let away put a Harrop e-locker in the front of either trucks you would have to clearance the casings to clear electro magnet on both trucks. I don

I thought the FJC case doesn’t have the shitty needle bearing so you wouldn’t need the ECGS bushing?

Think the ADD delete tube fits on the Taco housing also...

Sounds like that is the same route as I would go that you have in mind IF I were to do this. Not sure how it would affect steering though...

That ECGS bushing is machined for the factory open carrier used in the clams.......there is no guarantee that it will press in the Torsen carrier without a little lathe work. GT7 and I discussed that and might need it sent to the savvy guys at ECGS for some magic lathe work. The magic # is 1.378" for the bushing.

One day I might do the AWD TC but that plan isn't in the works currently. Just going to put the torsen in as 4x4 and see what it's like.

    I don't have ADD.

Oh. Never mind. I have it. I was confused for a moment about what ADD stood for.
