The TRD pro is a joke at $46k. Still have to spend $5k on suspension after buying.

People are probably learning that a TRD OR and $4k in upgrades is better than a TRD Pro. The TRD Pro is +$3k for hardware and +$7k for stickers.
I had a TRD Pro prior to my OR, and the OR is a much better value.

You should probably look for some sources on your own since I’m just some guy on the internet. Maybe I’m wrong but the stats are telling another story. Do you really think the fed would cut rates if there weren’t storm clouds on the horizon?

Assuming that your numbers are correct, then "$7k for stickers + full warranty on all components" would be more accurate.

Like myself. Many people purchased a TRD Pro so they don’t have to upgrade. The stress+time dealing with after market parts is not worth it.

I have a 2019 DCLB OR Prem/Tech. I am in NorCal and would have happily have bought a Pro at MSRP but all dealers within 100 miles were at $8-10K over MSRP. I did see some out of state dealers selling at MSRP but just went Off Road.

That’s subjective at best. Put larger tires on and you have close to 3 inches of lift...from the factory with half decent suspension...and less likely to break.

Spend 4K on a suspension and your shop fucks up...breaks...cv angle sucks...probably something breaks, hits the dirt gets slightly better articulation and absorption...but then breaks or at the least drives like shit on the road and probably needs a new alignment every week, not worth it to everyone.

Not everyone who wheels plan on doing the hard trails on the rubicon, needs a arb front locker, a 13 foot lift with the hardest coils and 900 lbs of armor and new gears to enjoy most normal Jeep trails.

This is coming from a guy who had a Trd off road and stressed about how to do things the “ right way.” Last bit is upgrades are subjective too. What some people say are upgrades are just stupid in my opinion. Like spacer lifts, certain light bars and wraps. To each their own if it meets the objective but one mans upgrade is another mans waste of money.

Had a OR too. Learned some lessons. So yeah. I got a pro.

Plus i got my pro in SoCal for msrp. It was literally 6 thousand more than I spent on the 18 OR. And what every 1000 is like $16 added to payments? Pssh.

I understand your point, but the diff position, CV assemblies, and control arms are the same between the Pro and the TRD OR, so arguably the Pro CV angles are worse from the factory than a stock OR, and will be subject to more wear and breakage straight from the factory. A stock OR has a more robust front end than a Pro for this reason, if not lifted.

I got the pro because I like how it looks. Way better than any other trim. Not a poser either, I’ve off-roaded several times

I also don’t care if it’s a “$30k truck that costs $50k.” You could say the same about Mustang GTs, Hellcats etc. they all have a similar foundation, but different components from the “base models.”

So many haters always trying to trash the Pro. Funny, it’s the only Tacoma I would own

Yep and you're financing mediocre upgrades, some expensive ass badging and a fake unsealed snorkle which is clearly only for looks but to each there own. Personally I'd rather put the money into better built Aftermarket parts. I find most Pro owners to be pavement princesses anyway who don't have any plan on doing any real offroading but want to drive around thinking they look cool in their top model line Pro. Even at MSRP it's a rip off. First thing I'd do is remove those low end Fox shocks. Not that fox make low end products but the shocks on the pro are far from the higher end of their shocks line up.

I was comparing from a shop, and aftermarket set up. If mine breaks on my pro it’s covered up to the next 100,000 miles. I’ll be ok.
