I don't get why everyone thinks getting plastered is so cool? I went through my entire college experience without even drinking once. I don't have anything against those that drink but college isn't about drinking it's about maturing and learning. College isn't all about learning the degree program your going for, but learning how to overcome challenges and make good decisions along the way. Ryan, it sound's like your getting a pretty quick lesson in decision making. I wish you the best maegn...

Yea I never got it either. I've got drunk once... and that was enough to never do it again. That doesn't mean I don't mind a Guinness here or there.... but enjoying a tasty beverage to enjoy it isn't the same as getting plastered for... well I dunno... to kill your liver?

    x2.

When I was in college, after I got hurt playing football, I worked 3 jobs and coached high school ball all while maintaining 18 credits each semester. I worked my fuckin' tail off and somehow I am still with the same girlfriend I met my sophomore year (fuck you if you ask where the ring is, haha). I drank here and there, but never to set a guinness world record. 4 years out of college, my hardwork paid off and now, well...

    I make it rain... :D

Dude I honestly think it cause their young and because its kinda forbidden so it seems risky and fun and dangerous which makes em feel cool and like bad asses :notsure: I used to drink ALOT when I was in my teens and then I turned 21 and it was as fun because it was readily available...now I hardly drink at all

I'm not judging but this is just my personal opinion...live it up is the way I look at it...just make sure your priorities are straight :)

Ha. Kids are just irresponsible and count on their parents to always help them get out of consequences for dumb things they did.

And thats bullshit! Time to grow up and stop relying on mommy and daddy to bail you out of stupid shit YOU did! My parents never helped me with shit and I have a whole lot of appreciation for the things i've done myself :)

Edit: Obviously parents should be there for their kids...I just meant when kids do stupid stuff THEY should have to learn their leason on their own :)

A lot of good opinions posted here, having never been drunk because I don't like the feeling of not being in control of myself. I have spent a good amount of time drinking though, I was a bartender for a couple years and loved to make different drinks. I also have a 22yr son who when he was old enough(or before) started drinking with his college friends, did the game thing and now hardly does at all. I believe they have a sense of invincibility and feel they need to try things out. Some go to extremes, some don't. My parents used to say "God watches over children and fools" Just be careful guys.
