How to Custom Startup and Screen Off

Any body with photo shop skills that can put my truck on there instead of the trans am?

Pretty simple. Create folders on usb. Transfer and boom. Nice thread!

 

Create folders. Fail to upload. Reformat. Find better pics. Re upload. Get online to post about it. Find new cooler pics, reupload, forget to reformat, do it again tomorrow....

Most likely your flash drive was not formated to "FAT32". I think the first page of the write up has the step by step on how to do that. No worries, it's just one extra thing to click. Had the same issue on my SR5 last year.

Ok here's one of mine!

 

• When saving the images to a USB, name the folder that the startup image is saved to "StartupImage" and the name the folder that the screen off image is saved to "DisplayOffImage". The folder names are case sensitive
• JPG and JPEG only
• Up to 32 Characters for file name
• 5MB or less
• Up to 3 images can be downloaded
• Files with non-ASCII filenames cannot be downloaded

I actually found that on Amazon and is being sold in vinyl. (screenshot and renamed) Mine is a sport but couldn't pass up the TRD and buck combination.

 

Is customization of the startup screen no longer possible with the 2020 head units (the ones with Carplay/Android Auto)?

 

Doesn't look like it.

 

That's a shame. I just made a schtick with a couple of nice ones.

 

Someone will come up with a way to do it I'm sure
