    Just finished up the two cutting boards. Both are maple, padauk, and walnut in different patterns. I couldn't remember if I ever posted a finished pic of the bullet piece either, so here it is.

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    I have the wings/shelves for the 735. They are supposed to help with the snipe and they do but only on shorter stock. I have found that the best way to reduce/eliminate it is either with a sled on insert base.


    Personally, I just lift up on the longer boards when they get close to the end. That works for me.
    I just got two of these on Prime Day. That's the type of stuff I use. It has no negative effect on the machine set up. My shop floor isn't exactly level either. I have one under my Rikon 10-326. I'm putting the other one under my Delta joiner. I keep my DW735 on a Rigid miter saw stand that we got for $99 on Black Friday at the Home Depot. Since I don't use it much, it conveniently stows in the corner against the wall and out of the way.

    Yeah I was going to probably go the sled route. Still working on cabinets for the bench tools. Made a few TS jigs and few other things like the drill press table. Seems like you’re always about 3 personal projects behind. House and honey do lists always comes first! lol

    That's a great idea! It's really not all that hard, just takes some time and patience. There's actually no 300wm in there, it's a random mix of 270, 5.56, 243, and 6.5g

    I've always thought the idea of these "concealment flags" were kinda cool. Tonight I decided to give it a try. I've made a subdued flag like this before and really like the look. The extra seven clamps in that one spot are from the last board warping from the heat and it actually seems to be leveling out. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish it up.

    I try to follow the real dimensions so with 1.5" stripes it's 37x19.5. If you look up American flag dimensions there are plenty of charts and pictures that give the ratios and measurements if you're looking to make one smaller or bigger. I also do this cause I have several sizes of stencils for the stars that makes carving them easier and they all use the original flag specs.

    Sure did. Just took a propane torch to them and brushed off the surface with a wire brush. Finished it with spray poly so it doesn't all rub off.
