Calmini was one of the OG aftermarket sources for Suzuki Samurais and most things Zuk. They had some Yota things way back when. I'm shocked the owner would act like that. There is no way that is the original owner when it started. Man I miss how cool and honor system led the aftermarket was for Cruisers and trucks were starting to get popular back in later 90s early 00s. I wouldn't wanna give my hard earned money to a business that treated me like that

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Worn out LSD, either deal with the chatter until it dies or replace the diff entirely

that's a shame, I wonder if maybe the original owner sold it at some point or maybe his son took it over or something. Says they've been in business almost 30 years so I can't imagine they were always like this, or else how the hell would they have lasted this long

Yeah for sure. Business owners like that don't usually survive in this day and age where news of info and bad reputation spread QUICK, thank goodness. They won't survive unless they change that aspect

The guy who canceled his order has written his side of the story how he wants the world to see it. I wouldn't cast judgement off of what one dude on the internet has to say. Although, that open lawsuit is alarming and is enough to prevent me from buying from that company.

Believe me I agree, seen that too many times especially on this forum. In fact I went to that thread expecting to see everyone defending the company and tearing that guy a new one but that DA's letter and the horrible reviews they have in general tells me to stay away from 'em

Going to try dino oil first... it didn’t start acting up till I replaced the fluid when I did the axle.

I'd put a less crappy LSD in if this one does end up being dead, the Toyota clutch units are weak anyway. Detroit TruTrac is where it's at.
