Take a hex bit and pound it in. You want it really tight and pound the shit out of it, it should be stuck in the head, then use a longer 3/8 ratchet. Your welcome.

My suggestion as well. Either the screw comes out or you end up drilling through the head. Either works and much better than normal bits. That said get a quality set. That applies to either bits or easy outs. If you break off either one in there good luck drilling through it...

I've had to use all three of these methods before. At least one of them will work. Just make sure you try the larger torx first, dremel second if the first doesnt work, then easy out as a last resort.

BTDT. My fix so far has been touch up paint until I get motivated enough to pull the TG off.

    Good luck.

I'd probably start with an impact driver with the largest bit that will fit first.

Then slot and try with the impact driver. Try not to make the slot wider than the bit you are going to use with an impact driver.

Then maybe cut the head off and drill it out.

Those easy outs can be great, but if you've ever broken one off in a hole, they don't drill out easy.

I've noticed that several bolts were T27. Can be an issue if T25s are used.

There's plenty of good advice already, so here's my comment to cheer you up OP.
The title of this thread is absolutely phenomenal - just like you! :bananadance:

But seriously, it's refreshing, especially among the monotony of "my truck does/doesn't do 'x' and therefore sux" and not being capable of identifying what a search bar is used for, aka "what size tire can I fit without a lift."

Unfortunately, these are T40. I had two different tight fitting bits and I still cammed them out. I was completely straight on. Either the paint got it or possibly the shallow engagement did me in.

The only sensible technical solution is to trade it in for a 2020.

You could get a plasma cutter and cut the whole section out.

Don't forget the endless raptor light installs. The person that started that mod needs to be sentenced to no less than sixteen lashings up until they lose control of their bowls or pass out

Its always ugly when they lose control of their bowls. At that point mugs and plates cannot be far behind.
