Impact Wrench For Suspension and Other Work

That's the one I've been looking at. I think once I step up and just get one I'll wonder why I didn't years ago.

 

But what I'll end up with is 2 or 3 new nanos probably lol

You could get a tank for airing down/airing up your truck on the trail and use it for maintenance as well. Two birds with one stone? I've only used air impact wrenches. They're a little loud but they've got a lot of force. For home stuff I'd personally choose cordless unless you've got a big restoration or something happening. Put your money into that and with a more maneuverable tool you're probably less likely to need to buy swivel impact sockets in turn spending more and more money.

 

Would you be able to run air tools off an ARB dual compressor? I've heard people talk about that in theory but don't think I've ever seen someone do it.

 

I've tried, you can't. Not without a tank. I'd want at least a 3 gallon tank and even that would be for fairly short bursts.

 

I forget what the actual term is, maybe CFM? But it doesn't put out enough air to run a constant air tool

Milwaukee M18 Fuel. get both the 3/8 and 1/2" if you can. The launched the fuels after i had already bought all snap-on electrics. the Snap-on electrics have been great but you cannot beat the price of milwuakee.

 

I hope you didnt pay alot for that. How did you manage to buy a fake 1/2" snap on gun?

I have that exact gun also, had to get something 1/2" drive when I got a 2000 Land Cruiser! Seems every bolt under that beast needs a 1/2" drive socket just to feel right.

I love the setting where it breaks lug nuts lose and then slows down so they don't spin off and go everywhere. (#4) I believe...

If/when they put that tech in the 3/8" gun I'll probably upgrade.

 

My buddy who works as a tech at Ford just picked this up from the truck. He just left on a 2 day fishing trip, I made an earlier comment referring to it but I’ll grab more pics when I can. He said it just came out within the last month, 1300 ft.lb back off and 4 run down settings not sure on those. It’s real, the internet says so.

 

My snap-on disappointed me yesterday. Wouldnt budge 1/2" u-bolt nuts. Ended up having to use my tire iron to get em off..

 

Im a mechanic, since 2016 I have 2 dewalt 20v, 1200ftlbs torque, batteries last near for ever, I use it daily pulling wheels/suspension parts you name it, very few if any bolts it wont remove, hold it down on smaller bolts it will break them. they were not cheap, around 400$ but in my business I cant work without them, the local dewalt repair facility offers a flat rate repair (70$) so no matter what happens to it its cheap to repair vs buying new.

No, no it’s not. And your buddy is either lying or hes gotten something before they’ve listed it on their site. Granted i haven’t been on a snap on truck in a month but i cant believe they’d ditch the whole 18v line all their tools are based off of
Firstly the fit and finish is shit, the proportions are off, it’s lacking cooling ports, the battery isn’t correct/ doesn’t line up, the side you showed should have the serial number and snap-on doesn’t advertise it as 1300 for lbs. I could continue but it’s early and i haven't had coffee yet

Looking at them elsewhere, it looks like Snap on may have changed the battery size and snout on the 1/2 "monster".

 

Thinking I might sell mine and get a Ridgid. That way I can run one battery type on all my power tools.
