I paid $22k in March of '10 for my '06 taco. It had a TRD Off Road package, SR-5, 4x4, V6, 4.0L, bed mat, bed extender, running boards, weathertech floormats, goodyear duratracs, towing package, a really nice A.R.E. tonneau (i have since taken it off), and the best one...get this, 15,700 miles on it! I'm sure some of you read that price for an '06 and was scratching your head. But yes, under 16k miles on an '06. It was my dad's boss's truck. He had a work truck he drove almost every day, so this was pretty much his weekend warrior, lol. Really nice and all I've done to it was black some emblems and a 3" lift. It was in great mechanical/physical condition by the way.

    I bought mine brand new a couple of weeks ago. It's a 2010 Access Cab PreRunner SR5 with a V6 and AT. I paid $22000. That's $1150 below invoice.

Before my new truck, I had an '03 2wd xtracab 5 lug 2.4l that I bought brand new back then, and I paid $15,600 for it. That was only a few hundred below invoice. Seven years later I traded it in for $9600. Depreciation was only about $850 per year. Do any other vehicles do that? :D

What is a good price for a 2010 DC, 4x4, SR5? MSRP was $30,099, dealer is offering me $28,000, locally, but a dealer out of state is offering it for $26,000, but after transport I'm back up to the $28,000. Should I wait for rebates, buy used or what? I was trying to go for $24,000 and then use my college rebate of $1,000. Is this too lofty of a goal?

I checked www.jimbarkleytoyota.com for what they had. They had the 2011s for 27777. They are a good negotiation tool here for the SE Toyota dealers because they put their selling price online. I have taken that to my local dealer and got them out the door for less.
