Was that donor truck brand new? The white film on the hood looks like the film when they come in new at the dealership.

Yup. 2019. Looks like it never left the dealer lot. Probably a delivery mishap.

Here where I live a tractor trailer driver was at the dealer and backed into 3 new cars , 1 really bad but wait it gets better . He decided to pull his truck up to the pole and climb up on his truck to steal the security cameras . Guess he didn't know they record .

That is a deal! Great score. I’d love to do the same with some power seats when they become available.

It’s in boys. I have to revisit the heated seats control on another day. Hot like mofo out there. Wreck yard took out the air bags due to liabilities as I found out. Had to swap in my own. That was more work than I thought.

Seats are really firm. Feels like sitting on a slab of concrete. The Sports cloths are much more comfortable IMO but it collects enough dog hair to make two dogs so those have to go.

    Pretty happy overall.

If you’re wanting to use the factory toyota switches - aren’t those part of the Dual zone Automatic temperature control? If so, that’s a much more complicated swap, requiring a new Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning box.

Seat wiring is pretty simple in general though

The the heated seat control panel which is the upper part of the climate control can be separated. Hopefully I hook it up and see if I can.do some programming thru the OBD port. If not I will just buy those Amazon set up and make it work.

You did great on that deal... you can likely sell your oem seats for 300-400 easy. What did the airbags run you?

$0. I took it out of the old Sports. I was nervous as hell after seeing all those docus and youtube about airbag shrapnel went thru people eyes and such. Never too careful with explosives.

Maybe you can salvage the wiring from the donor vehicle?

The 2022s now have the dual climate on the TRD Off-road with the tech package. Making this swap alot easier since you would only need the seats and the dash panel

I took my dual control and heated seats out of my old truck that had them in there. I put them in my 22 Tacoma and they didn't work. The switch shows the 3 bar lights on max. I checked the 12v wire at the seat and no voltage. There is voltage in the fuse under the steering wheel. Anyone have a suggestion why no power at the plug under the seat.

well ill be following this and hoping for more pictures. ive been looking into the same thing for a while. its low on the priority list of things to do but im curious as well. I've been looking at the wiring diagrams and was trying to compare the harness between a heated seat and non heated seat truck. I know there is a way to make this happen granted it will definitely be more work than one of the aftermarket kits. hopefully ill be able to find a donor truck at a salvage yard and get the airbag, controls and seats. plus maybe do some heated rear seats for the kiddos too. anyway good look to the OP.

There is a rely behind the left side dash that you use to put in and the wiring will work. I put the climate control dash with factory heat buttons and a factory heated seat on the passenger side to test it and it worked. I'm having the seats in the truck originally equipped with heat pads next week.
