He's just looking under her skirt. It wasn't really what the <strike>magazines</strike> internet said it should look like.

that might be a great idea for these rope hooks so they don't get crusty weathered and start looking like ass, a couple spots already started

That’s weird. My 2017 doesn’t have any splotches like that

I have 0 rust with 50k in salty areas (untreated) on my 3rd gen. I think this was more of a sloppy job on the person assembling it.

Love all the cracking on my concerns. When you spend 40 thousand dollars, yes you expect it to look fucking excellent

If you wanted it to be perfect maybe you should have inspected it prior to paying for it?

Welcome to TW (It's Friday night).

Don't worry about the underside. No truck/car has been perfect. EVER. Who looks? Except me or you.

I'm going to look under my girl's skirt again.. BRB.

i don't know a whole lot about this, but it IS a legitimate concern
just like I have concern that dealer service broke a $2k piece in my engine compartment and charged me 1/2 thousand dollars to do it!
i pay good money for service and expect it to be perfect

OP, what are your plans to have them fix this up for you?

Your bar is too low, you need to spend a lot more to get the kind of care and attention to detail you're looking for. 40k just buys a nicer toy not a luxury toy.

My frame has a bunch of surface rust spots. Mainly from the welds and openings. Same places they put this sealant. I undercoated it as soon as I got it, knowing Toyota’s past problems. I live in the rust belt and only have 36k. Wash my truck plenty so it’s not caked in salt eating away the frame and body.

You bought the cheapest truck on the market. When you low-ball, you get budget quality. Step up to a New Ford Ranger. It’s only $20K more for the same features. The frame looks beautiful on the Fords. They really care about the customer, hence the premium price for a Ford.
