It's difficult for me to understand why this is such a concern? What exactly do you think the dealership is going to do? It's not a "defect" that needs to be repaired. They'll look at it, shake their heads and shrug their shoulders.

The only possible remedy is to paint those areas black. And that sure has hell wouldn't be covered under warranty. OP needs to get a can of black oil based paint and a brush and paint over the areas if it troubles him that much.

I have an even better solution. Get out from under the truck and get in the damn thing and enjoy it

It's sealer,it's applied with a gun then brushed into place. Hence, the "sloppy" look. Just paint over it if it bothers you.

My 2019 has the sloppy sealant, but it's black. Perhaps they moved to the light tan color as it makes QC inspection for its proper application a real breeze.

Hey bud....we all paid 40k too.

And we didn’t even get any sealer.

We should be the ones mad here, not you.

I’m going into my dealer and demand they slap some of that beige shit on my frame. I feel cheated after paying 40k.

Very complimentary to the new exhaust you just paid to have done, in terms of neat work.

Definately not a Riddler contender this year.

But in 40 years folks who do detailed restorations (like Graveyard Cars) will go bonkers trying to match that application.

Oh wait. No one will be doing that type restoration on these. Nevermind.

As far as looks go, Rustoleum would be step one.

Then if you are in snow/salt country, Fluid Film

If you live in the South, get out and off road in some red clay woods.

Suddenly your frame will be just fine.

I didn't pay 40k, but I do kinda wish I had gotten some goop. Upstate NY winters are not easy on any vehicle.
