As I was reading your story, I felt like I was reading the story of my own life. We’re even the same age. I visited Wyoming a couple years back and the next time I go there, it’ll be with my Tacoma and it will be for good. That place is epic.

There were many before us that had life experiences like this and there will be many more after. To all of them I say this: Keep on truckin’...

We have a good exhaust shop here in Olney, IL. I'm 57 and it has been here as long as I can remember. Thankfully I have not had to go see him in a while.

When it comes to Tacomas I'm pretty much colorblind. They all look good to me......, well except for maybe that pink one pictured a ways back. Pair of dark glasses would fix that. It's still a Tacoma!:thumbsup:
Congratulations on your new ride and thank you for your service!!

So what setting do you typically have it on? Most of my driving is highway with some city mixed in.

Today I installed OEM mud guards on my 2019 TRD OR SB. I'm not sure if I like them or not. At best I'm indifferent.

I have been kicking up a lot stones so maybe less fender dings with mud guards.

Not sure of the owners intent. I do however support what in most cases the color represents even on a Tacoma!

Hear you. I'm not fond of the look with mud flaps but they do offer some protection. If you do a lot of driving on gravel roads, they are a must. I've resisted but I bet the first time I see a sizable ding, I'll be putting them on.

Black is definitely not maintenance free, been there done that. That said, when it's spiffed up it's pretty sharp looking.

I ordered a set from EBay. I don't like the OEM(wind sails). I prefer ones that are flexible.
