Oh I live in northeast Ohio, I get plenty of use in the winter months of 4x4. No e-locker here. And I occasionally toss it in 4x4 when driving to the in-laws since they live on a gravel road. But it’s nice to HAVE to use it every once in a while lol

Came with MGM topper. Added FJammer stereo. LED Bed lights on AOB Flux Capacitor Switch. Added AOB Spy Mode switch for TBD lighting, stay tuned.
Got back under there and wired my shell. Just reused the same taps and ground as the trailer taillight wiring converter.

Now I have upper bed lights and lower bed lights.
    IMG_20190803_010330700.jpg

And it just occurred to me that my dome LEDs are cool white, bed LEDs are warm white and the shell domes are incandescent. So three different colors of white.

I guess it (mis)matches with having two different exterior colors
    IMG_20190803_010345319.jpg

I am now legal in the use of my third brake light, even though in the nearly year and a half that I've had this 05, I haven't been pulled over for it. Though now that I replaced the burned out side of my tag lights with the green LED I had sitting around, we'll see if that changes. Be (hoorah for more mismatched colors, maybe I need to go with blue emblems?)

I havent used it in quite a while. I'm thinking of doing the simple platform utilizing the notches in the bedliner to hold the supports and split panels. If you have anything I could utilize I'll pass along my Gmail and you can share it with me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Living in Eastern IA and in the "Rust belt" I coated the rear diff, leafs, hangers and hitch frames with a rust sealer called Stop Rust Chassis Saver. Highly recommended by car builders and used on these three rides plus now my Tacoma. Very comparable to POR-15. The Turbo Regal is one I redid and sold to a gentleman in Mississippi, the Nova is my son's which he did a ground up restore at the age of 26 and the Bel Aire, the property of a well known Pro Street builder and racer.

Also replaced all fender skirt hex screws with #14 x 3/4" w/#12 washers. This truck only has 38k but all factory screws were rusted and stain was beginning to run down. I had them from working on kayaks so why not use them.

I used it on my headlights when I did the retrofits. Took the chrome right off without touching the plastic underneath.

Took care of some things on the truck already this morning:

    - swapped the old crusty swingout latch bolt for all stainless hardware

At an event last weekend, I had the swingout open and the table folded down and I noticed that if I wanted to use it as a cook/prep surface or workbench, I would have to do some tweaking:

    BEFORE

    AFTER

I'm guessing that since this is an earlier model bumper, some things were tweaked and when they sent me the "bumper refresh kit" for a newer style bumper.

    - Lastly, rok straps FTMFW!!! Climbing up on the rig to place the maxtrax can be tricky; especially when alone and with 4 stacked boards. It could also be a pain when you need them often and don't want to climb up and down constantly. Now, I was looking into the spare tire mount, but for $150 I don't know that it's worth it. Enter rok straps!!!

These were $18.99 (?) on eBay or Amazon and I have to say that I am PLEASANTLY surprised. They attach easily to the swingout and spare tire mounting system and through the spare tire. I can't say how they would hold up at highway speeds, but on the trails I have no doubt they would be fine.

Threw the trasharoo over for maximum EAF while parked in the driveway :transformer:

I am VERY pleased with the result. I tested shaking the boards and they did not move. The spare, swingout and entire rig moved by shaking the boards only.

    Link for you guys

Replaced the factory floor mats with something more durable. These are 3D Maxpider Kagu Floor Mats. So far I really like them. Should have also installed a Westin Bed Mat, but the USPS decided they didn't want to deliver it yesterday.

Will it fit if you turn the boards sideways? Nothing to overhang the top to catch wind on the highway or branches on the trail. But it looks EAF enuf for me.
