Undergassed relative to what he currently has in there (buffer/spring). With a lighter spring/buffer, it most likely wouldn't be undergassed.

Is it a dimple and set screw gas block? Also if you have a way to measure the gas port in the barrel and the gas block see if there is any discrepancy. Also make sure your GI mags have the updated follower and proper spring. They are easily slightly dented and can slow the follower movement causing them to not lock back, a few of mine are like that.

Sorry, I'm not knowledgeable enough to answer that question. It's the gas block that came as part of the PSA Upper, they just installed it slightly off center. The GI mags are pretty old, so I may just store them away in a box.

Yes that's true. I see it more as the buffer isn't matched correctly to the gas system since he switched from a carbine to a pistol. That's just the way I was taught. Is gas system first then spring and buffer and match.

But you were correct since the gas block apparently wasn't aligned properly that's kinda poor.

Yeah they don't hold up well at all. Not much a fan other than straight only range use. Pmags all the way!!!! I've tried some other polymer mags from troy, hex mag and others they are pretty good too.

I've got 8 or 10 PMAGs and have never had trouble with any of them, 5.56 or 300BLK.

I've never had any trouble out of mine other than wearing the springs out which is to be expected. I don't even know how many I have.

I'm good on that one thanks for looking out though. I'm one of the fortunate people that recieved everything that I ever ordered.

@Bannerman thought you said Lacey’s was ~$80 for an alignment. Just called for an appointment and it’s $129.99+tax

Yeah it used to be 80 I'm pretty sure. But you are right, I just took my wife's T4R up there and yeah it was 130. I actually complained about it to them while I was there because it was more than I remembered. I mean, Rocky does a good job but damn. Let me know where you end up going and how much it is. I don't plan on paying that much again if I can help it.

I’m gonna let them do it this time. My alignment is completely out of whack after the last trip to URE.

I am going to rip apart my entire front end soon, so I’m not sure who will do the alignment after that’s all done.

Mark it when they're done so you don't have to pay for that again until you tear it apart. You can just crawl under and wrench the marks to line up.

Next time I’ll have a set of JBA’s installed so it’ll need to be adjusted again, but that is certainly a good idea if I go wheeling again with Skip :boink:
