Correct. That or @JustDSM stated previously there are a couple of inputs to the ECM that could potentially be used (hijacked) but I don't remember what they were.

Ordered my ProLink. Added some genius from @loginfailed to my trans tuning. Flare seems to be gone. Kinda stoked about that.

The factory system only reads to around 12.17, with ecutek on the FRS we can recalibrate the sensor to read around 11.7...
For NA I wouldn't worry about it but boosted you'll need a wide band to ensure you don't run out of fuel...

For NA, make a map to calibrate the MAF, just set the fuel to 12.5-12.8, retard the timing a few degrees, disable the component protection, then calibrate the MAF..

Now you can use the MAF calibration to finish tuning and shouldn't need to worry about fuel, I doubt NA is going to run out of fuel..

For boosted you can do the same procedure( with caution) but when you go back to normal tuning you will need a wide band anyway to make sure you aren't starving for fuel but your MAF will already be calibrated. Or just calibrate the MAF off of the wide band at normal fuel settings..

    Any other tips????

Another positive MPG test. 16.5 according to the speedo 17.3 according to google maps, with lift 33s and 4 passengers.
Speedo is still off 3mph at 75... Our last trip we were getting around 14.8...

Big thing is it stays in 5th gear on the highway, the converter stays locked up most of the time and has enough power to cruise at lower loads...

The problem is the cruise control doesn't know what to do and is going crazy... It's calibrated for the stock mapping so it's way off..

I’m assuming you changed the trans tuning? My cruise works fine.

Can you elaborate on "going crazy"? Cruise isnt aware of which gear the transmission is in i dont think

Now I can climb hills in 5th and the cruise doesn't know that..
I tweaked the shift points and converter lock up, so now the ecu and cruise don't match up..
So It keeps way over compensating on hills... Keeps up shifting and down shifting...
    Something is out of sync...

    Still testing....

Cruise only simulates throttle input and can be activated when the vehicle is above i wanna say 25mph (might be 35) and in 4 or D .... the problem is it lags to input throttle, slowing down too much when more load is had (headwind, hills) then WAYYYY over reacts with excessive throttle input, then lags to slow down and backs off way too far.

Im curious to know what you did for trans changes. I just rocked my "V10" changes over the weekend on a 1300mi trek from essentially LA to lake shasta in nocal and back. The changes i have laid out have been FREAKING AWESOME under normal non cruise and cruise control driving. You can roll into the throttle WAY more before popping out of lockup in 5th and in 4th at > 50mph if you are in lockup, it WILL NOT pop out untill you reach a downshift to 3rd throttle state (which around fwy crusing speeds of 70mph is all they way at 85ish% throttle). I pulled the whole backside of the grapevine LOADED in 4th lockup at 65-75mph, my trans loved me.

Thats typical. Its not because of the trans tune.

It takes a special kinda person to love auto trans tuning like you do lol. You should get going on a performance trans tune for me so it’s ready when I’m ready to pull the trigger on the hpt

haha.... well the auto trans tuning is simple enough (and not as dangerous as engine) for me to wrap my head around. My V10 tune is probably going to be here to stay on my truck. Normal around town driving is great, and highway speed 4th and 5th lockup holding is EPIC.

I might play with raising the 3 to 4 and 4 to 5 upshift a smidge more, I also just now realized you can rescale x and y axis values... for example, 4th gear tcc release has 8 different boxes of pre determined accelerator percentage positions... the last 5 of those boxes are all 100%.... i could rescale the app% values to make it to where i can get a different curve thats more tuneable. Honestly dont know if ill go that far as im VERY happy with results of what I have come up with.

Also. ACIS for us NA guys.

In conjunction with my v10 auto trans tune (with JustDSM's throttle pedal mapping), I have found the following values to work well and allow one to roll into the throttle quite a bit in a 5th lockup situation without popping out at fwy crusing speed of 60+, and have acis flip over to long runner mode for a lil extra power.

"High tps" i have set to 35* and under acis control i have it set to 1 (aka on) for both Low rpm - High TPS and Medium rpm- high tps.

This essentially makes it to where if the throttle blade is 35* or more at anything under the 4100rpm mark, ACIS or long runner mode is on. Seems to make the truck a lil more peppy and able to pull hills in 5th lockup a bit better without having to give it more gas, which makes sense as I have gathered data quite awhile ago about the effects of ACIS and how it helps in the mid range.

Under normal cruising at highway speeds, even decently loaded up, you wont see more than 20-25* of throttle blade angle from the logs i have gathered. Needless to say im aming for an ACIS function that isnt on all the time as well, more air in means more fuel burnt and less mpgs thats no bueno. Its all about that balance... between race truck and Prius.

Gotcha. Start saving up for boost, it’s amazing. LT, 35’s, and 4.56 here as well but I have boost. 37’s soon and then 5.29 gearing as stuff breaks. Really hoping I can order this some point this month. I’ve almost pulled the trigger on several tundra over the years, but glad I didn’t as this is by far the best thing to happen for Toyota tuning
