need a little help here gang ……………………..
im changing out my idler pulley, 2002 v6 w/air
I got the pulley mounting nut loose , I loosened the tensioner screw, slipped off the belt , then removed the pulley mounting nut.....
now for the life of me I cant remove the freaking old pulley ! wth am I doing wrong ? is it threaded on ? should I try to pop it with a ball joint fork ?

 

Was able to pop the retaining nut however I can't get the pulley off the shaft

 

You got it. It was either mount them on the truck in @Mongoose18 driveway, have them stick out the back of cab (short bed problems) or on the roof rack.

As long as you want them black it will probably be about $250 to get sliders powder coated. But once they are done you will never have to do anything but touch them up.

Not sure about that specific engine but there's a pulley puller you can rent of any of the chain auto parts stores.
