0% chance of rain here today. Looks like we've had about an inch and a half so far.

 

We normally get very little in July and August. This year has been different. Hell, my grass is still green.

 

Less mowing=good

 

Lawn care is a zen thing for the typical middle aged burbs male. If he doesn't get any lawn mowing in soon he'll become irritable and start taking it out on the wife in the form of no Applebee's for you and her honey do list has been rejected because all he can do now is stew in the garage while drinking no less than 8 cans of Budweiser in a three hour period . The wife meanwhile is despondent and sends the kids into the backyard to do a rain dance, which quickly turns into lets kick all the Rainbird sprinkler head tops off which send the husband into a further rage because they speced his house with shitty Class 200 pipe which if you walk on the lawn wrong causes the shit to crack. So the husband hangs out in the garage every night playing darts with himself. Keep in mind this takes place over two weeks, but his sister in law has convinced the wife that she needs a trip to Sandals for a little R and R, girls only.

 

Not to mention wintertime when the husband tacks on 15 extra love handle pounds and has to buy 2XL shirts so Sara at the front desk at the Midtown Bank doesn't notice the larger handles when he bends over to flirt with her knowing full well that she is actually seeing the bank Prez and his marriage is on the blink because his wife found out about Sara while she was golfing with her friends at the local country club. They whisper behind her back all the while each of them knowing that all of the other girls husbands are doing the same thing. Not with Sara, of course. But with Becki at the drive thru window, Candace, who has a law degree but chooses not to work and Krystal, who is married to a farmer but gets really lonely around harvest time.
