Regarding number 2, at the end of the video cable behind the grill, did you connect the red pigtail from the video cable to the red pigtail on the camera cable?

Yes. I know that the 12V power has to come from the Relay in the dash. So, the 12V originates at the relay (and is controlled by the switch) and travels down the RCA cables and jumps from the RCA extension cable to the camera 12V power cable that comes with the front camera. I had an idea after I gave up today to temporarily cut the 12V cable at the front camera and just power it directly from the battery. If the front camera then works, then I know the camera is good and there is an issue with 12VDC coming from the relay or the switch.

I installed the kit on my truck with OEM Audio + set up. It worked great until it started causing my head unit to restart over and over. While diagnosing the problem I reached out to anytimebackupcamera, he was responsive and helpful...even when my responses were nonsensical. I disconnected the camera and haven't had a problem since. Soon, I'll take the time to pull everything out and get rid of it here, if possible. I am going to miss the anytime camera...it's super helpful when I am towing.

There are (2) 10mm bolts behind the radio. I mounted the relay on the right side bolt. As simple as it sounds, that relay was a bear to mount. I’d explore a zip tie method to the bolt if possible saving time and frustration.

I have no idea. All I know is that my head unit started rebooting and stoped when I removed the anytime backup camera harness. I suspect the slight modification between the OEM Audio + harness and the anytimebackupcamera harness didn't get along.

    Hey everyone,

I am looking to add an Anytime Front and Rear camera, as well as the Navigation Lockout Bypass, and Wifi Smartphone Mirroring all in one mod.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DKH6J4W will get get me front and rear camera with the steering wheel controls

https://www.anytimebackupcamera.com/collections/frontpage/products/anytime-backup-and-front-camera will get also get me front and rear camera via a double switch, but what would be the procedure to add Navigation Lockout Bypass like mentioned in this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...one-mirroring-mod.473033/page-4#post-14798424

and and Wifi Smartphone Mirroring like mentioned in this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...one-mirroring-mod.473033/page-3#post-14761375

    maybe with this:
    https://www.amazon.com/Upgraded-Dis...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

I am hoping for a plug and play solution, or a least only modifying a plug and play harness if possible.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    It's complicated.
Not without extending the wires. Plus, it's easier to mount it in the area behind the head unit.

That's the relay that came with my kit. I zip-tied it to the steel arm to the right of bolt (there's a small pocket that is a perfect fit.)

Completely redid my 3 camera system after I installed my bed rack. Figured I'd drop the color coded schematic I had to draw to straighten my brain out during the installation. Installed switches in Meso Customs panel. All in all I'm pleased with the functionality. I can select either front or rear camera any time, and if the tailgate is down I can flip the SPST switch right next to the DPDT and see the tailgate. Thanks to orion808 for the assist.

Anyone know what diode is in this wire harness? Mine has been on the fritz (won't work sometimes when in reverse), removed the shrink cover over the diode after diagnosing it as the issue. Clean break right through the middle, so need to replace it. They have one on their website that says 540 MIC, but it's not clear if it is a replacement for this or for other things (it mentions usage for using 2 switches as one application though). At least I think it's a diode.

From my understanding, the diode is only neccesary when you install 2 switches. A single dpdt switch does not need diode and i believe there has only been a single type of diode used
