I'd hit up the 2nd genners, seems to be a lot more commonly passed around with them, less common issue for us. They did have a thread for it and I bet someone in their daily thread knows about it, if I recall @gordi had it at one point.

VLSDs are rare here in the US. Canada made Nissan produce VLSD for the weather conditions. Instead of the SE performance package, the Canadian version was called an ES. The GLE's previous owner destroyed the original transmission from driving it in deep mud. I found where they got the VLSD transmission from a Pick-n-Pull that was near the LR airforce base. I suspect some airman brought the car into the area with the VLSD transmission from up north and got into a wreck. I could tell from the numbering they bought the transmission on one day then later went back to get the CV axles with dual splines. I added the SE option plates to the subframe.

I worked some suspension voodoo on both 4th gen front subframes that similar to what s-chassis people do to the rear subframe with aluminum spacers. The difference is I used some s-chassis aluminum spacers around the subframe posts with Delrin from a Nissan Titan in on the front and big thick Perrin bushings from a Subaru WRX at the rear connection points. It's a crazy combination that really eliminated the subframe slop and completely changed the handling charastics. To keep the transversely mounted engines from rocking under load, I've installed NWP Torque links. I can't imagine driving a 5 speed or VLSD version with them.

Anyway, I built the cars for my kids. They like them because they perform very well.

For me, I'm a firm believer that great handling cars are safer cars for young drivers.

Last time I threw up was in 6th grade when I ate too much birthday cake. I don’t like throwing up, probably would have been better on a couple occasions if I did lol

Avatar looks familiar - who was it?

Sounds like a hippie foo foo beer I would see in my home town back in New England. Been visiting the family the last couple years and all I see are weird name brands, tall skinny cans, and pastel logos - I don’t drink and I keep thinking beer in the fridge is hippie soda and sparkling water drinks lol

If I’m not mistaken you could measure the od of the needle bushing and weld a nut to a piece of steel that’s the same diameter minus a tenth of an inch and make your own if you can weld or make one for a welder to tack for you. Wouldn’t cost too much if you have a few bits of metal lying around and a drill and a grinder :notsure:

Eh, I do have a friend that welds but I know someone I could sell my tool to right after I'm done with it. So I probably won't bother with all that lol

Idk sounds like something happened. Wife might have given him an ultimatum or turned rat for the feds on the mafia and entered witness protection - @Speedytech7 is a good example how once you’re in the family you don’t just leave!

I got it sent to me by a member. Then I sent it to another one. Just covered shipping. Seriously over priced for what it is.
