What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Had the truck detailed and ceramic coated earlier this week. Decided I wanted to coat the wheels with the leftover ceramic. Soooo many angles to clean! I wanted to be able to mostly hose the wheels off and have them come clean. The fronts were way messier than the rears. I think I'll order some ceramic pads to knock down some of that brake dust.

It was time for a tire rotation so took care of that too. About 3 hours start to finish with an oil change & tire rotation on the wife's little Prius C mixed in there, so a pretty productive day

 

Took some garbage to the dump. She handled it great, as always!

 

I've always turned the A/C and recirculation off a mile or so from home to let some of the condensation evaporate or my A/C will have an odor next time I start it up. It tends to happen more frequently during our monsoon season when the humidity is up. I've noticed this in all of our vehicles so it's not Toyota specific. Mildew build up might make it worse over time as well.

 

Good to know! I got here last monsoon season so thats probably why it never noticed it in TX, cause it wasnt happening.

Decided to fab a better way to carry my rods, don’t have very expensive gear, but nice to have it up and out of the way!

finally got around to putting on the hood decals that i got from @amirak over two years ago...driver's side is a little off, but not enough for me to get another one and reapply...those things are above my skill set to line up properly...

also derped the skewp black and the letters red on the grille i got from @customcargrills

the letters didn't turn out very nice when you look at them closely, so i'm going to pull the backing plate and re-spray it...all in all it was a fun four hours...

Just a heads up man. I recently put ceramic pads on because the reviews said no brake dust.
But I’m noticing way more brake dust than the factory pads. Those OR rims don’t show it much at least.
